About the Library
The courteous and professional staff of Lyons Township District Library welcome you! It is the mission of the Lyons Township District Library to provide free public library services to the communities comprising the Library District as a whole. It will procure and make available to the general public quality materials and services which fulfill the informational, cultural, recreational, and educational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is friendly, welcoming, and respectful.
Through Woodlands Library Cooperative, we are able to provide patrons with access to books, eBooks and DVD's at no cost. Patrons are able to request books and other materials through MeLCat interloan, either independently or with the assistance of our staff.
In addition to these items, thousands of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet, enjoy state-of-the-art Wi-fi service or attend one of the Library’s many events.
